Week 1
Keeping children safe in vehicles
- Protecting vulnerable road users
  Meet the teaching team and discover who you’ll be learning with as we start exploring the vehicle transport needs of children with disabilities and medical conditions.
- Supporting safe transport
  Reflect on your leadership role supporting safe transport outcomes for children and their families and explore some resources and tools that can assist you.
- Travelling on our roads
  Explore the vehicle standards and road rules designed to keep people safe on our roads and take a virtual tour inside a car to understand important vehicle features.
- Weekly wrap
  Reflect on the key ideas covered in Week 1, test your knowledge, and find out what's on for next week.
Week 2
Vehicle restraints and standards
- Seatbelts
  Explore how seatbelts are used and how to use them correctly
- Australian standards and guidelines
  Explore the key Australian standards relating to transporting children with disabilities and medical conditions and learn about the restraints that comply with these standards.
- Special purpose car seats
  Investigate special purpose car seats, the overseas standards/regulations they comply with and how Australia is leading the way in assessing child restraint systems used by children with disabilities.
- Other products and devices
  Investigate modified Australian standard car seats, harnesses and vests and buckle covers.
- Wrap up
  Reflect on the key ideas covered in Week 2, test your knowledge and find out what's on for next week.
Week 3
Best-practice prescribing
- Getting started
  Consider the role of family-centred road safety practice and discover tools that can help you to embed safe transport into your day-to-day practice.
- Common transport challenges
  Investigate common vehicle transport challenges and best practice responses.
- Putting it into practice
  Explore the challenging topic of restrictive practice and reflect on your scope of practice and the importance of good documentation for AT prescription.
- Weekly wrap
  Reflect on what you've learned in this course and how you'll integrate this into your professional practice before testing your knowledge and considering your next steps.
