You will explore the security threats posed to today’s computer networks, as well as gain a critical awareness of the latest issues and best practices in the design of secure networks.

Learning outcomes
On completion of this program, you should be able to:
- Apply network security concepts and protocols to contemporary Internet and mobile-based solutions and technologies.
- Critically evaluate the role of a security policy for protecting information assets and demonstrate self-direction in designing security policies to defend those assets within the context of global communication and the web.
- Summarise IT Governance that relates to information security and evaluate how it influences the security policy of an organisation.
