Learn how to enhance psychological wellbeing at work
This program provides an introduction to the individual in the workplace, taking into account mental and physical health – including symptoms and disorders – and potential interventions to increase workplace wellbeing.
You will have the opportunity to become familiar with factors which affect employee wellbeing, including stress-related paradigms, and also look at motivation, the psychological contract and job satisfaction, the healthy organisation, managing diversity, work-life balance, and stress interventions.
Well-known examples will aid your understanding and, through case studies, enable you to identify interventions for how organisations can actively assist in the welfare of their employees, improving psychological wellbeing at work.
A case study-based approach is adopted, which examines problems arising in the workplace and discusses how strategies can be employed to improve issues for employees, supervisors and organisations. You will also be given the opportunity to develop research and communication skills.
