Pathogen Genomics: A New Era in Global Health Surveillance and Strategy

Wellcome Connecting Science and COG-Train

In recent years pathogen genomics has proven to be a valuable tool to understand infectious disease dynamics and improve the epidemiology, surveillance and vaccine and treatment development for pathogens of public health relevance. Despite the rapid growth of sequenced pathogen genomes, the expertise in this technology is still a limiting factor in its wider uptake. This course aimed to discuss how to apply state-of-the-art approaches to tackle global health threats.
