Certificate of Achievement
has completed the following course:
This course explored the metabolic pathways used in energy production, and how different fuels can be processed. Specifically it covered the TCA cycle, glycolysis, gluconeogenesis, the pentose phosphate pathway, beta oxidation and transamination. It explored the topic of homeostasis and feedback loops, and how endocrinology plays a key role in maintaining this. It looked at the key cells in the immune system, an overview of their function, and the difference between innate and adaptive immunity.
