In this course we explored the broad spectrum of topics encountered at medical school. These included anatomy, physiology, body systems, cellular/molecular biology, and genetics. Participants were introduced to technical medical jargon and key medical concepts. They gained confidence to ask medical professionals to communicate with them in everyday language. With this introduction to medical science they can make more informed healthcare decisions and better separate medical fact from fiction.
