Build knowledge of AR and develop the confidence to converse at an expert level.

This course focuses on the core uses of immersive technologies within a range of business sectors and explores a variety of AR hardware and software; and what it tells us about the future.

During the course, we’ll investigate future technologies and opportunities while examining market predictions, technological bottle necks and hardware requirements.

On successful completion, you should be able to understand the limitations of AR technologies, evaluate their uses in a variety of domains and better understand the development workflow.

This course is aimed at people from a non-technical background who want to experience how immersive technology can be implemented across a variety of sectors.

What software or tools do you need?

The primary software required for the course is the Unity game engine, which is free for standalone users. The course will also utilise 3DS Max and Adobe Photoshop which have a free trial option.
