Skip to 0 minutes and 8 secondsIn this final week, we'll examine some of the different methods of working to support parents during the perinatal period. We start by describing some of the different levels of which services can be provided in terms of whether they are universal, targeted, or indicated. We also distinguish between methods that target the parent only, which are known as non-dyadic, and methods that target both the parent and infant together, and are known as dyadic interventions. We will then go on to examine specific interventions that can be delivered during the anti and postnatal periods, with the aim of promoting aspects of parenting, such as for example sensitive parent infant interaction, and parental reflective functioning.
