Emergency Planning and Preparedness Practice
Keeping the emergency plan up to date and implemented with stakeholders involvement is paramount. You will learn about the importance of engagement and flexibility in maintaining and reviewing an emergency plan.
Finally you will focus on preparedness in humanitarian responses to disasters to understand the role of planning in the prevention of disasters through reduction in their escalation.

Who is the course for?
Anybody with an interest in emergency planning and preparedness. If you’re looking to study the full MSc Emergency Planning Management and Resilience degree, or are working in or planning a career in the emergency planning and preparedness world, this course is for you.

An Emergency Planner, specialising in crowd safety. Course Director for the MSc degrees in Emergency Management & Resilience, Disaster Management & Resilience, and Crowded Places & Public Safety.
A former London Fire Brigade SEVESO emergency planner, teaching emergency preparedness, the UK Civil Contingencies Act, and public policy and political economy approaches to emergency intervention.
