Build a repertoire of tools to enhance medication delivery
On this three-week course from Taipei Medical University, you’ll explore the different types of medication distribution systems in hospitals and the principle of evaluating drug delivery systems.
Throughout the course, you’ll be taught by experienced pharmacists from Taipei Veterans General Hospital who will share their clinical experiences. Through these cases, you’ll see how Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) guidelines are being established in this hospital.
Develop your understanding of drug delivery systems in hospitals
The role of pharmacists has become more diverse over time, with many now providing clinical services. But medication distribution is still an important responsibility of pharmacists, especially in hospital pharmacies.
This course will take you through an introduction to the medication distribution systems used in hospitals, exploring how these systems have evolved. You’ll then assess each of the four systems, identifying their pros and cons in real-world settings.
Discover the importance of pharmacy informatics
Having an effective database of data, knowledge, and information is an important part of the medication-use and patient treatment process.
You’ll explore pharmacy informatics, what it is, and how to use it to improve the efficiency and safety of medication use. You’ll also look at how and when to deliver this knowledge to patients in order to educate them on their medications.
