Reflect on the changes observed within the HRM role of an organisation

On this course, you’ll address the issues related to HR management that have been influenced by changes in organisations and the wider environment. Globalisation, new technologies and recession have all made, and continue to make, their mark on human resources.

You will consider important variations in different parts of the world and between different sectors of employment. You will explore how the expectations of HR function are influenced by national and cultural contexts and legal and societal developments.

Who is the course for?

This course is for everyone who would like to develop a career in HR management or an academic career in the field of HR management.

What software or tools do you need?

You will need to be able to install and run additional software on a desktop or laptop computer with either Windows 7 or Mac OS 10.7 or higher. The screen of the device must have a resolution of at least 1024 pixels horizontally and 768 pixels vertically.

You will also need a microphone and speakers/headphones to participate in online discussions.

Charles is a Lecturer in Management (Open University). He has extensive experience in teaching on topics related to Organisation Studies. He completed his PHD at the University of Leicester.
