Skip to 0 minutes and 4 secondsHello. Welcome to week four. The final week of the course. This week, we're going to be looking at risk. What are your risk factors for developing a particular disease or condition. How do you find out? We aim to give you an understanding of risk and how risk is determined. Thanks once again for adding content to the comment sections. Keep on doing it if you find anything that you think is good and reliable, and we'll bring everything together at the end.

Introduction to Week 4

In the final week of the course, we consider research looking at risk.

How do we decide what our risk of getting a particular disease or condition is likely to be? It’s problematic because its extremely difficult to identify cause and effect. We’ll be looking at some of the issues and giving you some questions you can ask.

Our final case study examines smoking and lung cancer and draws together issues raised throughout the course.
