On this course, you will learn how to have simple conversations in Norwegian with family and friends, and handle a variety of everyday situations, like shopping, leisure time, and travelling. You will improve your grammar, sentence structure, and vocabulary with the support of engaging videos, practical exercises, and a chatbot.   • Content (learn about life in Oslo): Meet and greet, shopping, food, leisure time, friends, family, travel, job, job interview
  • Grammar: verbs, nouns, adjectives, possessives, quantifiers and sentence structure
  • Phonetics: vowels, r-combinations, diphthongs, Norwegian prosody
  • Contemporary and relevant vocabulary

This course is for learners who have completed Introduction to Norwegian 1 or have otherwise reached an A1-proficiency level.

I am a lecturer of Norwegian language and literature for international students at The University of Oslo. To me, language and literature are keys to understanding ourselves and the world we live in.

Teaching Norwegian is fun! As a lecturer of Norwegian for international students at UiO, I really enjoy helping my students discover their passion for both the Norwegian language and culture.
