  • Duration

    2 weeks
  • Weekly study

    8 hours

The closer the set of data points, the stronger the relationship

This short course emphasises the importance of testing hypothesis and Chi-square for quantitative research and analysis. It also aims to enable you to compute and produce correlation and linear regression models in a broad range of applications in business.

By the end of this course, you should be able to illustrate and conceptualise correlation and regression models in terms of predicting behavioural outcomes through identifying significance, assumptions and other related consideration.

What topics will you cover?

  • Hypothesis testing
  • Chi-square
  • Correlation coefficient
  • Linear regression analysis: Least squares method
  • Producing linear regression models

Learning on this course

On every step of the course you can meet other learners, share your ideas and join in with active discussions in the comments.

What will you achieve?

By the end of the course, you‘ll be able to...

  • Describe and implement hypothesis tests and determine their level of significance
  • Perform Chi-square tests and determine the level of significance
  • Evaluate the direction and strength of correlation and test for significance
  • Calculate and interpret the Pearson correlation coefficient
  • Calculate and interpret the coefficient of determination
  • Identify linear regression and the relationship between dependent and independent variables
  • Calculate and interpret regression models and outcomes
