Idea to Action

So far we have explored how inspiration and motivation contributes to the foundations of planning an online business.

Let’s now look at who your customer is - you need to think about how to put your idea into words to promote your new online business.

Putting your thoughts into words in a way that allows you to explain to others exactly what your online business is about is important. Consider five key areas:

  1. What exactly is it that you are selling? What is your product or service?
  2. Who are you selling to?
  3. What is the problem you are solving for the customer?
  4. How will you make it happen?
  5. Why are you going into business?

Bringing this information together will help you to establish your selling pitch and provide a snapshot of your business to prospective customers. This will help keep you focused on your product or service development, and help your customers see you as an enthusiastic and credible online business.
