Plan a smooth utilisation of resources throughout projects

This short course demonstrates a sequential set of connected activities in a project, which you should be able to draw upon to design a work breakdown structure, Gantt chart and network analysis. The aim is to efficiently utilise the allocation of resources through computing and producing the critical path in order to improve efficiency in businesses.

  • Describe and identify project and project management in theory and practice
  • Describe the five phases of traditional project management
  • Identify types of project management and network-based structure
  • Explain the approaches to building the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Gantt chart
  • Develop a network representation of the project tasks
  • Develop a precedence diagram for the project, along with float associated with each activity
  • Identify the critical path in the project
