  • Week 1

    Visit the dentist in the post-pandemic era

    • Welcome to the Course

      We will show you how to manage dental-related issues where COVID-19 still exists, and the scientific knowledge for a better understanding of what is causing some of the most common oral health problems and how to treat them.

    • Perspectives on Pandemics

      Professor Eisner Salamanca will introduce the changes that historical pandemics have brought to medical development and the public's perception of public health. It will also make people aware of the world's improved preparations.

    • The Challenges Facing Dentistry After the Pandemic

      Professor Eisner Salamanca will present the impact of COVID-19 and the challenges facing dentistry after COVID-19.

  • Week 2

    Oral hygiene instructions

    • Recognize Common Dental Diseases

      Professor Eisner Salamanca will present the common dental diseases, cavities, and periodontal diseases. He will also explain the factors that influence the development of periodontal disease.

    • Improve Your Health, Take Care of Your Mouth

      We will show you how to improve the oral condition in your life. If you're a dentist or someone related to health care, you can keep in mind what areas of oral hygiene people have concerns about or areas that need improvement.

  • Week 3

    The Importance of Saliva

    • Introduction to the Function of Saliva

      Professor Ching-Shuen Wang will introduce the function of saliva and how is saliva secreted. He will give you a better understanding of the composition of saliva.

    • The Diseases Associated with Saliva

      We will show you the diseases related to saliva and the future trend and direction of saliva diagnosis. The importance of saliva is beyond your imagination.

  • Week 4

    Dental Treatments

    • Anatomy of Gingiva

      Professor Salamanca will introduce the structure of the gingiva. He will explain the function of the periodontal ligament.

    • Periodontal Treatment

      Professor Salamanca will introduce the occurrence and treatment of periodontal disease. He will also explain the sequence in which the dentist treats the periodontal.

  • Week 5

    Dental Materials

    • Introduction to Dental Materials

      We will show you what dental materials are, how many types of dental materials there are, classify dental materials by function, and finally give you a few examples of dental materials commonly used in dentistry.

    • Restorative and Ausiliary Dental Materials

      Professor Ching-Shuen Wang will introduce the restorative and ausiliary dental materials for dental treatment.

  • Week 6

    Dental Implants: Evaluation & Selection

    • Preoperative evaluation of dental implants

      We will show you what you need to do for a preoperative evaluation of dental implant surgery, including dental history, clinical examination, and Intraoral tissue assessment.

    • Choose an Implant

      Professor Eisner Salamanca will introduce the classification of implants and where to place them. He will also explain preparations for implants and the four major categories of implant positions.

  • Week 7

    Dental Implant Placement

    • Considerations in Dental Implant Placement

      Professor Eisner Salamanca will show you how to prevent complications after dental implants with regular checkups. The purpose of the postoperative examination is to assess the health of the implant.
