This week we will be focusing both on the impact that the genomic revolution is having on clinical practise across the specialties and how the medical landscape is evolving. We'll hear from experts in cardiology, foetal medicine, and oncology about their own personal experiences of how genomic medicine has changed their clinical practise. We will look at the way that new sequencing technologies are being used for the discovery of novel disease-causing genes and also for the diagnosis of rare genetic conditions. And we'll learn how therapies can be targeted, based on the genomic information we have gathered about individuals or about their condition. And this includes cancer cells and disease-causing microorganisms.
