    Academic entry requirements:

    Obtain (or be predicted) an upper second-class degree or postgraduate diploma from a UK university or equivalent from a recognised institution. Complete the online application and submit a current CV.

    Professional entry requirements:

    For those without standard academic qualifications, evidence of 1-8+ years of relevant (senior) work experience in the public sector is required, varying by the level of experience. Submit one reference, either uploaded with your application or emailed directly by your referee. Offers in principle are extended within 48 hours to applicants meeting the standard academic criteria.

    English language requirements Below are the minimum scores that are accepted for non-native English speakers:

    • Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall, with no less than 5.5 in any band
    • TOEFL: 88 overall, with minimum scores of 21 in Reading, 20 in Listening, 22 in Speaking, and 21 in Writing
    • Pearson PTE: 67 overall, with no less than 64 in any skill
    • Cambridge Advanced English: 176 overall, with no less than 169 in any component
    • LanguageCert ESOL SELT B2: Minimum score of 33 in each skill
    • Trinity ISE III: Pass in each skill
    • HKDSE: 4 overall, including three bands at grade 4 and one band at grade 3
    • India Standard XII: 80% in ISC, CBSE, Maharashtra; 75% in West Bengal; 85% in other state boards

    Exemptions apply if:

    • You’re from a majority English-speaking country
    • You’ve completed a degree in English in a specified country within two years of the start date
    • Nationals with a degree or GCSE English grade 4/C equivalent from specified countries, with no validity period for their degree or GCSE equivalent
