@RobertLeary Sorry to hear. If you can have access to a Linux system you can install the necessary software in your machine.
In the MOOC GitHub repository (https://github.com/gjbex/DPD) you can find the list of the necessary software and the tested versions per week in the list_of_software.md file.
We hope this helps.

Ingrid Barcena replied to Marian Areţu
@MarianAreţu that is indeed not correct. FutureLearn has suggested that you contact them directly as we can not help you on this topic. You can use the 'Support' button (at the bottom right of any FutureLearn course page) and explain them the problem.
-
Ingrid Barcena replied to Marian Areţu
@MarianAreţu , we checked with the FutureLearn support and the average scores are re-calculated when questions are voided. It could be that the one question just hasn’t had significant impact on the overall score.
Could you please tell us where are you looking at the score? Is it on the progress page? Then we can go back to FutureLearn and revise that...

We have noticed that ARM ddt is not in the path in the Virtual machine (VM). If you want to try the software you will have to add in your path the corresponding directory. Execute the following command before using DDT:
export PATH=$HOME/Software/arm/forge/bin:$PATH

If you are not using the provided Virtual Machine but your own Linux system you can find the instructions for installing ARM Forge and Intel Tools software in the [MOOC GitHub repository](https://github.com/gjbex/DPD/blob/master/list_of_software.md)

Ingrid Barcena replied to Howard Windsor
Hello Howard,
thanks for your comment. We agree with you that it would be better if learners woul only receive assignments in thieir preferred language. Unfortunately, the way the peer review assignments works right now makes this not possible. For the moment the only thing you can do is to not accept assignments in the other language. Sorry for that....
-
Ingrid Barcena replied to Pere Antoni M
Hi Pere,
the purpose of this discussion step is that people can ask quetions or make comments about the assignments: peer review exercices, quizzes or tests.
Of course, if few people submit the assignment it is difficult for others to have code to review. Unfortunately, we have no control about this.
-
HI Gary,
thanks for the feedback. It is good to see that it is working now.

Ingrid Barcena replied to Dominique Delaere
Amazing what they did with the code. A very good example of how to obfuscate a code in an artistic way.
Thanks for sharing it!
-
Ingrid Barcena replied to John Purser
Hi John,
without programming experience it will be difficult to perform the assignments but you can still follow the videos and read the articles and learn the concepts and methods.

Hi all,
thanks to all for being here. We have a very nice and diverse community following the course. That is great as we will then mutually learn from each other a lot.

Hi Michael,
Thank you for your comment. We have updated the article.
You can install all the necessary software in your Ubuntu system. In the MOOC GitHub repository (https://github.com/gjbex/DPD) you can find the list of the necessary software and the tested versions per week in the list_of_software.md file. This should allow you to follow the course....
