How is the course delivered?

This assessment course is delivered entirely through the FutureLearn platform.

Who is eligible to take this course?

Students who upgrade and complete the first six courses in the program will be eligible to take the final assessment course. Upon the successful completion of the assessment course, students who are admitted to Purdue's online Master of Science in Communication program can submit to have their completed FutureLearn program count as 3 credits towards the degree.

This course will require at least 8 - 10 hours of study per week.

Course outline

The curriculum of the Final Assessment Course will lead you through the processes required to complete your two final assessment tasks. There is no new content to learn. Rather, the focus is on helping you to apply the skills you have learned.

The structure of the course is as follows:

Week 1:

You will answer several multiple choice questions that cover content from all the six Digital Media Analytics courses. This is an untimed assessment. You get three attempts for each question, but the points available per question are reduced after each attempt.

Week 2:

You will interpret, analyse, and answer a set of problem-based questions surrounding scenarios.

What score do I need to pass the course?

In order to pass the Final Assessment Course, you must achieve a total final mark of 70% or above.

What happens after I've passed the assessment?

You will receive a FutureLearn Award if you have upgraded on and completed 90% of the steps in all courses in the program and achieved a pass rate of at least 70% on any tests. A FutureLearn Award is a celebration of your overall achievements on the courses you completed as part of your program.

Learners who have completed the FutureLearn MicroCredential/program and are successfully admitted to the Masters of Science in Communication will have their 3 credit hours added to their plan of study (transcript) upon admission.
