Emphasising the interdisciplinary and interconnected nature of science, the course encouraged learners to create a concept map to synthesise key information from the course, helping them plan how they might survive in an environment as hostile as Mars.

  • Oxygen: the Martian atmosphere, oxygen on Mars, and how to recycle oxygen
  • Food: nutrients for life, the challenge of growing food on Mars
  • Concept Maps: how to create them to synthesise and organise knowledge
