This online course was for STEM Ambassadors and other volunteers in science, technology, engineering and maths working with young people. Learners explored what makes an effective communicator, looking at verbal communication skills and non-verbal communication. Learners considered the structure of activities, including the importance of the first five minutes, how to keep students engaged and wrapping up activities. At the end of the course learners created their finalised activity plan.
