Exercise: Mini Stakeholder Analysis

You’re ready to try the stakeholder analysis yourself!

To do so, use your own context and a health program you are familiar with as your example. Or, you can think about how the polio program might work in a country you are familiar with.

Then, follow these guiding steps:

• Clearly define the new policy to be considered
• Identify the key stakeholders of the policy
• Articulate the current level of power and influence for each stakeholder
• Articulate the current level of agreement with the policy for each stakeholder
• Classify the stakeholders into one of the five categories: Drivers, Blockers, Supporters, Bystanders, Abstainers
