About ageing and caregiving
Course Overview
This is a 2-week course. We will learn about ageing, caregiving responsibilities, and caregiver stress management.
The ageing process
When it comes to ageing, we need to understand the inevitable changes that everyone is facing. Learning or being a caregiver helps us to discover more about the phases of life.
Weekly wrap up
Caregivers are an important source of support for seniors in a rapidly ageing population, meeting most of their needs. Caring for a loved one can affect their social life, income, employment, and educational opportunities.

Taking good care of ourselves as caregiver
Becoming a good caregiver

Who will you learn with?
Noran Hairi is Professor of Epidemiology and Public Health. She is best known for her work on epidemiology of ageing and ageing-related issues such as physical disability and sarcopenia
Dr Farizah Mohd Hairi is a Public Health Physician at the University of Malaya. Dedicated to teaching, research, and community outreach, she remains committed to advancing public health.
Claire is currently teaching in the University of Malaya. Her research passion is on topics related to older persons and children. Claire is also a caregiver for her 80-year old mother.
Project Officer for e-Learning at the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya.
