The video profile
Traditional CVs are two-dimensional; they give an employer some clues as to who they may be recruiting, but a digital CV gives them much more depth to their understanding of what they would be employing.
If a recruiter reads a personal profile, they are the active party; if you present your personal profile via a video profile, then you are the active party in really selling your skills and personality. In other words, the real you.
There are four basic things you need to get right in a video CV:
- Presentation: how you present yourself
- Body language: how you appear onscreen
- Content: what makes you stand out
- Timing: keep it short but make the most of the time
The next step will let you see two examples of video profiles.
