      Have you ever sung with friends in a Karaoke bar? Do you love it? Today we will learn some expressions about singing in a Karaoke bar.

    • Is the girl on the left reading a newspaper your eldersister

      People like to see and talk about photos with their friends. How to introduce your family members to your friends? Today let’s see some talk between two girls in their dorm.

    • It's cheaper than the price yesterday

      Let’s see how to buy fruits in Chinese in dialogue 3.

    • The woman speaking in front of us is my Chinese teacher

      Do you know your teachers well? What’s his/her surname? Today we will see two students talking about their new Chinese teachers.

    • Pinyin and Characters

      Today we will learn intonation of affirmative-negative question. And two Chinese radicals:病字头 "疒" and 两点水"冫".

    • Week 1 Summary

      This week you have learnt how to use a verb phrase as an attributive modifier; the 比 comparison sentences;how to buy fruits in a store and how to introduce others; the intonation of affirmative-negative question and 2 radicals.

      How is your daily schedule?Today we’ll talk about it in dialogue 1.

      Have you been invited to a Chinese friend’s home for dinner?What do they usually say at dinner?Today we are going to learn it.

      How is the weather today in your city, what temperature is it?Shall we put on more clothes or less clothes?Do you know how to say these in Chinese?That is what we are talking about today.

      This week you have learnt the particle 得 sentences to introduce a complement of result or degree; how to describe weather; the intonation of an alternative question; and two new radicals: 止字旁 and 同字头。

    • The door is open. Come on in

      If you make an appointment with someone at the company, what would you say to the front desk in Chinese when you arrive at the company? That’s what we are going to learn today in dialogue 1.

    • Who is the girl speaking

      Do you know who the girl is in the picture? She is wearing white and holding a cotton candy in her hand. If we want to ask about a stranger, how to pose a question in Chinese?Today we are going to learn it in dialogue 2.

    • She is the girl in our class with big eyes and a mailing face

      Can you describe the girl in the picture? Today we also have a heroine in the dialogue, do you want to know how she looks like?

    • Walk straight ahead from here and turn right at the first crossing

      If you go to an unfamiliar place, how do you ask for directions in Chinese? And can you understand the answers? Today we will talk about asking and giving directions.

      We will learn the Intonation of Imperative Sentence and two new radicals: “斤字旁”and “页字旁”.

    • Week 3 Summary

      This week you have learnt the continuation of a certain state; how to pose a question when we want to know a stranger; the Rhetorical Question; asking and giving directions; the intonation of Imperative Sentences and two radicals.

  • Week 4

    Have you seen that movie

    • I was told it is fantastic

      Do you often go to see movies in your spare time? What kind of movies you like the best? Have you seen any Chinese movies? People often talk about movies when they get together. Today we will learn the related expressions.

    • Though I've been there several times, I still want to go for pleasure again

      Today we will learn the complement of frequency “次”, it is placed after the predicate verb indicating the number of times an action has taken place.

    • How will the weather be tomorrow

      What’s the weather like today? What about tomorrow? Today we will learn some more expressions of weather.

    • I like this garment, but I think it's a little expensive

      Today we will learn a conversation about shopping in dialogue 4.

    • Pinyin and Characters

      Today we will learn the intonation of exclamatory sentence and two radicals “雨字头 yǔzìtóu ” and “贝字旁 bèizìpáng ”.

    • Week 4 Summary

      This week we have learnt the usage of “过”; the complement of frequency “次”; more expressions to talk about the weather; and shopping experience; the intonation of exclamatory sentence; 2 more radicals :“雨字头” and “贝字旁”.

  • Week 5

    The New Year is coming

    • The New Year is coming

      The new year is coming. How will you spend the new year holiday? Do you have a plan? Today we will talk about the plans for the new year holiday in dialogue 1.

    • Thank you all for your help during the past year

      What about your new year's wish, let's discuss it in dialogue 2.

    • Why hasn't your younger sister arrived yet

      I suppose you all have the experience of waiting for somebody. Sometimes it could be very annoying. But remember to be patient. Today we will learn what you could say when you are waiting for someone in Chinese.

    • It's overcast. I have to go home

      This is the last dialogue of HSK 2 course, then we are going to say goodbye to each other, today we’ll see how to show our concerns to others in Chinese when saying goodbye.

      Today we will learn the Intonation of Questions Ending with “吧” and “吗”and two radicals“山字旁” and “大字旁”.

    • Week 5 Summary

      This week we have learnt how to say something is going to happen; new year's wish; how to express complaining tone; how to show our concerns to others when saying goodbye; the Intonation of Questions and 2 radicals 山字旁 and 大字旁.
