The social model of disability
The social model of disability allows us to move away from a focus on individual difficulties and remove the barriers that may be unintentionally introduced in certain learning and teaching environments.
Watch this video from Scope (a UK charity which ‘exists to make this country a place where disabled people have the same opportunities as everyone else’) ‘What is the social model of disability?’ Disabled people tell Scope what it is and what it means to them. Use the YouTube version to access the transcript.
