You’ve had a chance to reflect on the context of this violent conflict situation. As a healthcare or humanitarian worker caught in this situation, there are several different courses of action that you can take…

Head over to your study group to discuss the following questions:

What would be your immediate priority when you learn about this situation? List only one priority, but give a strong reasoning for why you think this is most the important issue for you.

How would your perspective change if you were in charge of this healthcare facility? Think about whether your priorities would change; who you might expect support from; and the problems of involving other parties. It’s not always easy to decide on the “right” course of action…
