Skip to 0 minutes and 13 seconds The modern world is a fast moving place with people leading busy lives struggling to find time for themselves. We rush through life on autopilot, lossed in our thoughts without noticing what’s going on around us. But research shows that paying attention to the present to your own thoughts and feelings and to the world around you can improve mental well being, and this awareness is known as mindfulness. Mindfulness helps us to cope with life’s difficulties and stresses. As such, it is a useful tool for anyone involved in mental health provision, which is why the University of Glasgow has created this short online course exploring the concept and its application.

Skip to 0 minutes and 53 seconds A course which is aimed at anyone who wants to improve their knowledge of mindfulness may be of particular interest to teachers, parents and people working with young adults and teenagers.
