Prepare your risk register

Fortunately, you are not the first person to manage risks. So, instead of inventing a risk register, use the template below.

Take some time to reflect on what risks might affect the successful implementation of your project. Be creative and think outside the box, and research similar projects and what might have affected them. If you are developing a business continuity/disaster response plan, check what hazards your region is exposed to. Download and fill in the Risk register template. Use the example risk register prepared for the company event (to download below) as a guide.

When you have completed your risk register, share it to the Managing Risk Padlet board.

Look at the work of your fellow learners and discuss their risk assessments. Do you feel they are underestimating or overestimating the probability or the impact of some risks? Does what you’ve read affect how you feel about how you assessed risks on your project? Revisit yours and amend if necessary. Chat about your thoughts in the comments.
