Learning about climate and sustainability outdoors

Teachers and children from Floreat Montague Park School share why the outdoors gives a sense of purpose and ownership when learning about climate and sustainability. To be both enjoyable and effective, climate education should start at an early age and build up over time but it doesn’t always require a specific lesson plan. Allowing child directed activities and just time outside is important to show the value of being outdoors. Hear more about these views and other strategies at the school in this video.

When children are enabled to care for each other, if they see another child in difficulty, they will go to help.

With special thanks to the fantastic staff and pupils at Floreat Montague Park School who kindly contributed to all of the videos in this course.
