FutureLearn named Startup of the Year
Last night, FutureLearn won the ‘Startup of the Year’ category at the British Interactive Media Association Awards, recognising our rapid growth and innovative approach.
The BIMAs have been celebrating the best of British digital for the last 30 years, so we were thrilled to receive the accolade, particularly as it came exactly a year to the day since FutureLearn went live. It’s also the first time that BIMA has included ‘Startup of the Year’ as a category.
The judges – people of influence within the UK digital sector – recognised our rapid growth, as well as our innovative approach, which is bringing modern product design and software development techniques to the education sector, and making online learning social, accessible and engaging.
Of course, we couldn’t have achieved any of this without our partners and learners, so a very big thank you goes to all of you!
If you’d like to support us further, you can vote for us in The People’s Lovie Awards too. We’re nominated in the ‘Websites: Schools & Education’ category and voting closes 09 October.
