The FutureLearn shop is now open
Today, we’ve opened an online shop, where you can find a small selection of FutureLearn merchandise, as well as souvenir posters for two of our courses. Here, Lucy Blackwell, our Creative Director, explains how the shop came about.
A few months ago, we created some goodies to celebrate our first birthday, and give to the partners and learners who’d been with us from the start. When we shared pictures of them on Twitter and Facebook, a lot of you asked how you could get your hands on them too.
The good news is that now you can – we have a limited number of these items for sale in an online shop. There are pencils, postcards, bags, T-shirts and even pocket-sized kites. All of the items are designed to reflect the values that underpin our free online courses – telling stories, provoking conversation and celebrating progress.
Souvenir course posters
We’re also trying out something completely new. Just as you might want to buy a memento when you visit a museum, gallery or theatre, we now have souvenir posters for two of our courses for sale – “How to Read a Mind” from the University of Nottingham and “Climate Change: Challenges and Solutions” from the University of Exeter.
We’ve commissioned illustrators to design them, asking London’s Rob Lowe (aka Supermundane) and New York’s Otto Steininger to respond to some of the big questions that the courses pose. And as you can see from the designs above, they’ve done an amazing job!
We hope the posters will offer you a new way to remember and celebrate your time on FutureLearn, and show off what you’ve learnt to friends and family.
If you’d like to buy or learn more about any of the items mentioned here, head over to the FutureLearn shop now.
