Looking Forward... Keep (Un)learning About Africa

My hope is that by now, we have answered the questions we set out at the beginning of the course. We have looked at the unique contributions of the African Fashion Industry in concept and design, production and manufacturing techniques, visual and verbal storytelling, as well as sustainability. We have assessed the relationship between African luxury fashion and the rest of the world from a historical and contemporary perspective, focusing on the cultural exchange between Africa and the rest of the world.

The continent is vast, its history long and its cultures so rich that it cannot be covered in one short course. We hope to do a more comprehensive deep dive into subsequently. Your feedback would be absolutely valuable in shaping that follow up.
