Congratulations. You have completed Airway Matters. Well, thank you very much for joining us over the last five weeks and for your contributions to discussions, polls, and quizzes. It really made a difference in making this a very interactive learning experience. We hope this course has been a valuable resource and that you’ll be able to use and apply what you’ve learned to improve safety in airway management and, ultimately, the outcomes of your patients. It’s certainly been a pleasure from our point of view to discuss some airway matters with you. We have covered an incredible amount in the last five weeks.

You have discussed the key learning points and recommendations from the NAP4 study, the role of capnography, and the importance of human factors and ergonomics. You’ve also learned how to assess the airway and how a look at the resources available to help you develop a safe management strategy to deal with the expected and unexpected difficult airway in a variety of clinical scenarios– Patients with tracheotomies, children, pregnant women, obese patients, and the critically ill. Importantly, you discussed the need for patients involvement and multidisciplinary communication and planning when sharing the airways. We hope this course is one small step to improving patient outcomes and safety across the globe and it’s increased your interest and knowledge of safe airway management.
