Welcome to the course!

What is this course about? Watch Ms. Watanabe and Ms. Homma introduce the university museum, community collection, and "sharing" concept.

What are community collections in universities? What kind of issues do we face? Watch Prof. Watanabe and Ms. Homma introduce the museum, community collection, and “sharing” concept, which we will discuss in this course.

Through the journey, we will discuss the sharing concept to reconnect communities and their collection, and akichi, a creative and open space, is introduced as one of the sharing methods.

In Week 1, we’ll focus on the community collections that emerge within a university environment and the challenges and issues. Please enjoy real-life examples from Keio and other universities in Japan, and think about your own experiences.

Let’s start our journey!
