Course participation

This course is organised in 5 weekly topics, including:

  • Week 1: Quality Requirements for Feed
  • Week 2: The Quality Management System
  • Week 3: Feed Ingredient Quality
  • Week 4: Microbiological, Chemical and Physical Testing Methods
  • Week 5: Adulteration in Feed Quality

Each week is designed around the thematic topic and will include a number of videos, articles, discussions, and to test your understanding, an end of week quiz.

  • Video Presentations

Video presentations are included in weeks 1 to 5. Each video has a transcript which you can read by clicking ‘view transcript’ found underneath each video. You are also provided with video caption subtitles to use. Alternatively, you can select to turn these off by clicking a button at the bottom of the video.

  • Discussions

Throughout the course you are encouraged to share your thoughts and ideas with others in the comments area found at the bottom of every Step.

If you see something you like or find interesting, please let learners know by clicking on ‘Like’ or ‘Reply’ to respond to their comment. You can follow learners who have also joined the course as well as your Educators and Mentors. You can also filter discussions to include people or conversations that you find interesting.

If you have any questions about any of the course content or have technical technical difficulties please leave a comment in the discussion area and the course Educators and Mentors will help you out. You can also use the comments section to help each other with any questions. Talking about the course content is a great way to get to know others, to learn and consolidate information.

  • Articles

Each week you will be presented with a range of articles. The aim is that they will provide you with a more in-depth knowledge of the thematic area. To engage with the content you will be asked to read and reflect on an article (or a summary of it) and share your thoughts with other learners on the course.

Look out for any further reading which can be found at the bottom of the Steps under the heading ‘See also’ and supporting documents listed under ‘Downloads’.

Certificate of Achievement
