What does your mobile phone know about you? What can wearable technology such as Google Glass be used to measure?
In this video, Paul Lukowicz explains how data from smartphones can be used to personally identify you, and determine what emotional state you are in. He describes how Google Glass can work out what you’re doing by measuring your blink patterns, and presents a smart collar which can even identify what you’re eating.
Paul Lukowicz is Professor of AI at the DFKI and Kaiserslautern University of Technology in Germany, where he heads the Embedded Intelligence group. His research focuses on context aware ubiquitous and wearable systems.
You can watch the whole of Paul’s presentation “Collaborative Social Sensing” on YouTube (19:58).
