If you’re new to taking courses on FutureLearn, you may have some questions about how to use it. You may want to first go to the Using FutureLearn page and How to start a course on FutureLearn for a clear description of:

  • decide whether to learn free, upgrade, or buy unlimited
  • How to use your profile
  • How to navigate to a course
  • How to navigate within a course
  • How to participate in discussions

Next, you can find some specific guidance on how to use our course.

Free or upgrade?

If you have selected the free option for this course, you will have 7 weeks from the day you signed up for the course to finish it. If you upgrade, you have access to the course as long as it’s available on FutureLearn. The course videos and readings will always be available for free at STRIPE Website.

I don’t have a consistent internet connection

You can download all of the course videos and readings to review offline. Below the right corner of every video is a “download” section. At the end of every Step, there will be a list of related links and documents that you can download.

How do I get a certificate?

If you are enrolled for free, you won’t be able to get a certificate. You need to choose the “Upgrade” or “Unlimited” option to receive a certificate from FutureLearn. You can learn more about certificates on FutureLearn’s Certificate of Achievement page.
