WAKGARI DERESSA: Hello, everyone. My name is Wakgari Deressa. And I am a professor of public health at Addis Ababa University School of Public Health in Ethiopia. Welcome to the module on introduction to polio eradication. In this section, we will focus on the four pillars of polio eradication initiative. We will explore the importance of routine immunization, supplementary immunization activities, surveillance, and the targeted mop-up campaigns. In addition, we will discuss the [? essentials ?] of polio campaigns, including cold chain management, strategies on reaching every last child, and the polio eradication program staff.
