NICK PATTERSON: Congratulations on finishing Week 2 of this course. We’ve covered a range of topics this week and started your journey to reflecting more deeply on your past work experiences, and ultimately a listing of your skills and what level they’re at. The main highlights from this week were how well do you communicate and how important it can be, what is success and how can we better achieve it. What is the power of self-reflection and how it can help build and develop yourself individually and professionally. We analysed the case study of KFC’s new #myplan for developing their staff through self-reflection. You conducted a skills audit on your professional self and discovered strengths and maybe some weaknesses.

I hope you enjoy this course and can start to apply some of these different techniques we’ve explored in your life and in your career. This course is just a taster of what we do with credentials at Deakin University. It’s actually the first two weeks and the first subject in a Master’s of Professional Practice. If you’ve enjoyed what we’ve done so far, have a think about joining us for the rest of the journey.
