An invitation to extend your learning

This step describes what to expect from studying the BSc Meteorology at the University of Reading, for learners interested in applying.

Are you considering applying to study meteorology or climate science at university?

The University of Reading offers a  BSc in Meteorology and Climate.

At Reading, you’ll be joining a course of study accredited by the Royal Meteorological Society. You’ll also benefit from the Department’s close links to industry and a range of opportunities to enhance your employability. You will have the chance to complete an independent research project on a topic of your choice, perhaps focusing on the currents of hurricanes and typhoons or the effect of climate change on crops.

Next week, we’ll be moving on to look at high pressure weather systems (anticyclones), air masses and rainfall. There’ll be a chance to try some simple weather fieldwork, as well as some more exercises and quizzes.
