Update on clinical critical care management of adult patients with COVID-19. We recommend that you review the following guidance in conjunction with the other ‘update’ steps in this section.

This clinical guidance provides contemporary information for practising clinicians caring for critically ill adult patients with COVID-19. There have been significant developments in the understanding of COVID-19 critical illness. The evidence-base for care and management is also building rapidly, as researchers report the findings of their work. The Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine and the Intensive Care Society (UK) have collated and curated this in their fantastic updated guidelines.
