If you’ve found your work to date on this course interesting, then there are ways you could take your learning further at the University of York.

For example, our LLB (Hons) Law is a radical and innovative new approach to the academic study of law. Learn to use skills of analysis, reasoning and judgement to tackle topical questions with ethical, political and social dimensions, as well as on the legal aspects of ordinary, everyday interaction. Our distinctive LLB degree combines academic rigour with applied, practical and inter-disciplinary perspectives, ensuring you develop an understanding of law in all its contexts.

We are the only law school in the UK to use a problem-based learning approach as the basis for our undergraduate programmes. We believe this modern, practical method will help you to develop the skills and techniques you will need to stand out as a professional. Our three learning streams allow you to choose a pathway based on your interests, while fitting closely together to form an integrated and comprehensive course.

We want you to feel a part of our vibrant community from day one. Our highly approachable, expert tutors are committed to providing you with high-quality teaching, feedback and support. Staff and students work alongside each other in the friendly and supportive surroundings of our purpose-built law school.

Alongside rigorous academic study, you’ll gain valuable skills and experience with a range of opportunities for placements and volunteering. Your studies will inform and guide you, giving you practice applying educational theory to real-world situations.
