Week 5 review
A summary of Week 5 of the course Deep Learning for Bioscientists, on spatial approaches and more advanced topics such as object detection.
Congratulations on completing Week 5, the final week of the course.
We gave a quick overview of quite a few different topics in deep learning this week, including:
- encoder-decoder architectures
- practical example : Image segmentation using PyTorch
- heatmap regression
- bounding box methods
- multi-task learning.
Hopefully by now, following this week, you should have a clearer idea of the range of tasks that can be performed by deep learning methods, have some idea of how it could be applied to your work, and how we can use PyTorch to achieve this.
