Introduction to Week 4

This week will cover Learning Outcome 4 – Understanding changes brought to political campaigns by digital technologies and gaining a critical understanding of the rise of populism and its relationship with political campaigns in the digital age.

We will look at how digital technologies transform political campaigns. Consideration will be given to the evolution of campaign communication in the past decades, the rise of digital technologies and the rise of populism in recent years.

By the end of this week, you will have gained a broader perspective and deeper understanding of political campaigns in the digital age and what it means to the value of democracy
