This week will cover Learning Outcome 2 – Identifying conceptual tools to discuss dilemmas posed by digital warfare to international relations, and politics more broadly.
We will look at how digital technologies change the ways wars and conflicts are carried out, and the ways we see them. Consideration will be given to the different types of digital wars, the dangers of cyber attacks and their impact on real life. You will learn about ways in which war-themed computer games can affect our views of wars and conflicts. Finally, you will learn about the role of social media in global warfare.
By the end of this week, you will have developed your opinions on digital wars and how modern warfare is changed by technology.
