Putting in a little bit of work up front to get you ahead with your study

Over the next couple of weeks, you will get a better understanding of the principles that inform humanitarian action.

You will examine through examples and case studies these two big questions:

1) why are humanitarian principles core to any humanitarian preparedness and response?

2) why are the humanitarian principles challenged when it comes to practice?

Your task

Conduct your own research on

  • what the core humanitarian principles are and

  • what do they mean for humanitarian stakeholders and organisations?

Share your research with your peers.
