Looking Ahead to Week 2

tbc

So, here we are at the end of the first week of the course.

We’ve covered quite a lot in this week, and it is certainly worth highlighting some of the topics we’ve covered, before we look ahead to next week. So here are some of the key takeaways from Week 1 of the course:

  • That, whilst V2G as a technology can be described simply, it has multiple benefits and uses such as back-up power, energy autonomy, or battery health management. And it can be applied in different settings in different ways to provide differing benefits.
  • That V2G needs to be considered in the context of the energy system that it operates within. Communication between the EV, the EVSE and the CPO are all important to enable V2G to provide different benefits.
  • And finally, that whilst V2G has recently been of growing interest and is being deployed, the concept has been around for over 20 years.

Looking Ahead

That’s all for Week 1, but we have plenty more in store for you during Week 2. You’ll spend much of the week looking at the different value propositions for V2G. You’ll also find out what customers think of V2G from their experience of using the technology. Then you’ll look at some of the alternatives to V2G and how they can compare or compete.
